ATP US Open quarterfinals

Lehecka – Alcaraz: 02.09.2025 19:00 CEST
H2H: 1-2

Jiri Lehecka has won four of his last five matches. Last season in New York, the Czech lost to Rublev in the third round in straight sets. This is his fifth appearance at the US Open. In the opening round, Lehecka defeated Coric in four sets. After losing the opening set in the second round against Etcheverry, Lehecka quickly turned the match around. En route to the 1/8-Finals, Lehecka had it easy against Etcheverry and Collignon, whilst dropping only one set altogether. In the 1/8-Finals, the Czech defeated Mannarino in four sets. Lehecka trailed 1-4 in the opening tiebreak, but turned it around.

Carlos Alcaraz has won ten straight matches. Two weeks ago in Cincinnati, Alcaraz won the Masters 1000 title. He was the champion here in 2022. This week, the Spaniard outlasted Opelka in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, Alcaraz demolished Bellucci in straight sets. The Spaniard has yet to lose a set in the tournament. In the third and fourth rounds, Alcaraz demolished Darderi and Rinderknech in straight sets. He is almost unplayable, but he also had a favourable draw so far. Last season, Van de Zandschulp upset him in the second round.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Alcaraz is the big favourite in this matchup, and we partially agree. However, Lehecka played his best tennis last week in New York. He already won against Alcaraz this season and kept it close in the second encounter earlier this season. If he plays his best tennis, we expect Lehecka to keep this match close.

That being said, Lehecka covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jiri Lehecka +7.5 games handicap @1.91 @bet365

Djokovic – Fritz: 03.09.2025 02:30 CEST
H2H: 10-0

Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. This week, the Serb defeated Tien in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, Svajda won the opening set 7-6. However, after that, Djokovic turned the match quickly around. In the third round, Djokovic defeated Norrie in four sets easily. He offered only one breakpoint throughout the match. Struff had no answer for his game in the fourth round. In less than two hours, Djokovic won in straight sets comfortably. Once again, Djokovic offered only one breakpoint and played his best tennis.

Taylor Fritz has won four of his last five matches. This week in New York, Fritz defeated Nava in straight sets in the opening round. He saved all four breakpoints he offered. In the second round, Fritz defeated Harris in four sets, after losing the opening set 4-6. Kym fought hard in the third round, but it just was not enough. Fritz won in four sets. In the 1/8-Finals, the American demolished Machac in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Djokovic is the slight favourite in this matchup, and we agree. Fritz played well this week. However, Djokovic leads 10-0 in head-to-head meetings and will handle the pressure better than Fritz. We expect Djokovic to be a better player tonight.

That being said, Djokovic winning is a value bet.
