The Austrian capital of Vienna consistently hosts one of the most competitive ATP 500 events of this year. 2025 is no different, with eight of the top 16 players in the world competing for the title. Day 2 features some scintillating matchups including Lorenzo Musetti vs Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev vs Jacob Fearnley. As always, we here at LWOT offer our preview and prediction for all matches on the slate. But who will advance?

ATP Vienna Day 2 Predictions

Andrey Rublev vs Cameron Norrie

Head-to-Head: Rublev 3-2 Norrie

Their first meeting in over two years, Andrey Rublev and Cameron Norrie are look for strong ends to the season to propel them into 2026. Rublev is 0-3 since the US Open and has struggled against the best in the sport this year. He is just 19-20 against Top 100 players. Norrie has dealt with his own struggles, making this a tough match to predict. It’s truly a toss-up, but I give the slight edge to the Brit. I can trust his mental fortitude in what may be a slog of a match.

Prediction: Norrie in 3

Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Nicolai Budkov Kjaer

Head-to-Head: Etcheverry 1-0 Budkov Kjaer

Tomas Martin Etcheverry has played some solid tennis over the past month, reaching back-to-back quarterfinals in Hangzhou and Stockholm. He squares off against wildcard Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in the first round of ATP Vienna, a player he took down in a three-set Davis Cup qualifier earlier this year. Budkov Kjaer, just 19-years-old, is approaching the Top 100 after a Challenger Title earlier this month. Both men are solid off the ground which should produce a high-quality groundstroke battle. I give the slight edge to the veteran Argentine due to his serving prowess, but this should be a tight match.

Prediction: Etcheverry in 3

Lorenzo Musetti vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Head-to-Head: Musetti 2-5 Tsitsipas

Coming off a Six Kings Slam beatdown at the hands of Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas saw his back account rise but his on-court confidence continues to dwindle. He has not won back-to-back matches in over six months. He has not beaten a Top 10 player in over 18 months. Musetti, on the other hand, is amidst the best season of his career. In a battle of one-handed backhands, there is no reason to expect the Greek to find his form in Vienna.

Prediction: Musetti in 2
