All eight ATP Winston-Salem round of 16 matches will be completed on Wednesday. Sebastian Korda and former Wimbledon semifinalist Roberto Bautista Agut’s contests are among those predicted in this article. We here at LWOT predict the rest of the action, including Lorenzo Sonego vs Jaume Munar, in a separate article.

ATP Winston-Salem Day 4 Predictions

Gabriel Diallo vs Hamad Medjedovic

Head-to-head: First meeting

No. 4 seed Diallo has not played a match yet in Winston-Salem after receiving a walkover in the round of 32. Medjedovic’s powerful tennis can trouble most players when it clicks. The Canadian is a more consistent performer, but I feel Medjedovic could edge this. He impressed in the first two rounds and is capable of taking time away from Diallo and not letting him settle.

Prediction: Medjedovic in 3

Yunchaokete Bu vs Mariano Navone

Head-to-head: First meeting

Stefanos Tsitsipas’s poor display should not detract from how well Bu played in his 6-3 6-2 victory. Navone’s level was not far behind in a crushing 6-2 6-2 success over Marcos Giron. Despite that strong performance from the Argentine, Bu is a slight favorite to win. The intensity of his hitting from the match against Tsitsipas would probably be too much for Navone to handle on a hard court.

Prediction: Bu in 2

Roberto Bautista Agut vs Marton Fucsovics

Head-to-head: Bautista Agut 3-2 Fucsovics

Fucsovics knocked out the No. 2 seed Tallon Griekspoor in the previous round. Bautista Agut presents a different type of challenge. Despite being 37, he retains the ability to stifle opponents with his relentless consistency. The Spaniard has lost half a step in speed, but his exceptional tennis IQ and more reliable level make him the favorite against Fucsovics.

Prediction: Bautista Agut in 3

Sebastian Korda vs Kamil Majchrzak

Head-to-head: First meeting

This will be Korda’s second match since the French Open after being sidelined by a severe injury. Understandably, he was quite rusty in his first match back. Although that will likely remain the case in the round of 16, Korda should still have enough to progress. No part of Majchrzak’s game is superior to last year’s Citi DC Open champion.

Prediction: Korda in 2
