Carlos Alcaraz has shared a message for Casper Ruud following their successful doubles partnership at the Laver Cup.
Alcaraz and Ruud, ranked first and 12th in the world respectively, teamed up to beat Alex Michelsen and Reilly Opelka, keeping Team Europe in the tie on day three.

The duo secured a 7-6, 6-1 victory over their American opponents. But it wasn’t enough for Team Europe, who eventually lost to Team World by a score of 15-9.
After the event, Ruud posted a message on social media, which Alcaraz quickly replied to.
The duo had their moments, with Alcaraz’s sharp drop volley against Michelsen and Opelka standing out in particular.
Following Team Europe’s defeat, Ruud took a moment to reflect on the event in San Francisco.
Posting on Instagram, he wrote: “All smiles even though we didn’t take home the title this year. It’s still a highlight of the season.
Big thanks to the organisers, fans, and my teammates. Congrats to Team World. Next year, it’s on our turf again!”
Alcaraz replied: “Ruudcaraz never disappoints. Next year is for Team Europe!!”
After the event in San Francisco, several players took to social media to share their thoughts on the week.
Even though he didn’t come away with a win in his matches, Holger Rune was still positive about his time at the Laver Cup.
He posted on Instagram: “Laver Cup is an amazing event for the players and the fans. Great atmosphere and a lot of fun on and off the court. Really enjoyed it a lot.”
Flavio Cobolli, who played just once in a loss to Joao Fonseca, shared: “What an unforgettable week here at the Laver Cup in San Francisco!
“Grateful for this amazing opportunity, for my teammates and for all the people who made this experience so special.
“Congrats to Team World for the win. Feeling inspired, motivated, and ready for what’s next.”
Taylor Fritz, who played a key role with wins over Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, also posted: “LAVER CUP CHAMPS.
