U.S. tennis superstar Coco Gauff won her second Grand Slam title today when she defeated Aryna Sabalenka to win the French Open. While a lot of the discussion afterwards involved sportsmanship, Gauff took some extra time to share a heartfelt message for her fans.

Taking to X after her incredible win, Gauff started off with a single word: "Wow." She then thanked God and everyone who has been a part of making her dream a reality. She said that one should never give up on their dreams.

"Wow. This means so much to me truly…. French open champion. I worked so hard for this moment and for it to have happened is insane. thank you God. And thank you everyone. This means the world…. I‘m still in shock honestly can’t find the words but all I can say for now is just thank you and never give up on your dreams," she wrote.

Gauff's post has gone viral with over 35,000 likes and 8,000 shares and reposts in just over an hour. Nearly everyone is offering the two-time Grand Slam winner congratulations on her historic win today.

Among the many to offer congratulations are tennis legend Billie Jean King, former U.S. President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama and NBA megastar LeBron James.

"Congratulations to @CocoGauff for an amazing championship at the French Open — the first American singles champion at @RolandGarros in a decade. You make us all proud," President Obama wrote.

"I SECOND THAT!!! Congratulations my fellow flag bearer," LeBron replied to Obama.

"Congrats, @CocoGauff ! Your determination, strength, and grace throughout the French Open has inspired us all – and showed us what's possible. Proud of you!" Michelle Obama wrote.

"Congratulations to @CocoGauff on her second Grand Slam women's singles title, and her first singles title at #RolandGarros! Outstanding!" King wrote.

There was a little bit of controversy in the immediate aftermath of her win though. Sabalenka apparently told reporters that the weather played a role in the outcome and that her former opponent Iga Swiatek would have beaten Gauff under those conditions.

But Gauff took Sabalenka's criticism in stride, making it clear how much she respects both tennis stars.

Today is Gauff's day and nobody can take it away from her.
