In a new Daily Dose of Social Media we review some of the most important moments from ATP and WTA stars on social networks during a new day, as the hardcourt swing begins with the DC Open as the main event of the week.

American Coco Gauff shared some photos of her vacation days in Florida before traveling to the Canadian Open, while former world No. 190 Denis Shapovalov participated in a Toronto campaign to raise awareness about animal cruelty, arriving in great form after securing his fourth professional title at the Los Cabos Open.

Coco Gauff recharges in Florida before Canadian Open title defense

Coco Gauff shared a series of photos from her vacation in Florida before traveling to the Canadian Open. The two-time Grand Slam champion is seen in various photos and videos enjoying some free days to recharge after her early exit at Wimbledon, where she fell in the first round to Dayana Yastremska. "just a floridian pisces in her natural habitat ‍♀️✨," she posted.

The American also received a response from her compatriot Christopher Eubanks, one of her close friends on Tour, who commented on the publication with a humorous reply: "I see why I wasn’t getting a text back now lol," responded the former Wimbledon quarterfinalist.

Coco will now head to the hardcourt swing, where she has great memories, winning titles at the Cincinnati Open and the US Open in 2023. This time, her first challenge will be at the WTA 1000 Canadian Open, where she will be the top seed following Aryna Sabalenka's withdrawal due to physical precaution.

Danielle Collins enjoys family time in DC despite early exit

Former world No. 8 Danielle Collins shared some tender family photos after her time at the DC Open, where she took the opportunity to spend time with her family. The 2024 Miami Open champion did not start the American hardcourt swing in good form, falling in the first round in Washington to eighth seed Magda Linette in straight sets.

Nevertheless, Collins looked more than happy sharing time with her family and friends in a series of relaxed photos, enjoying the great attractions of the US capital. "Cousins are friends that will love you forever." What a true sentiment. So grateful for my cousins and the love shared between all of us ♾️ Such a fun week in DC because of my sweet family ☺️.

Shapovalov returns to Toronto with new title and pet safety message

Denis Shapovalov shared a photo at the Canadian Open alongside a dog, participating in a campaign to raise awareness about not leaving pets in hot cars, thus preventing accidents due to the strong North American summer heat. The former world No. 10 recently secured his fourth professional title at the Los Cabos Open, where he entered as the third seed and defeated American Aleksandar Kovacevic in straight sets in the final. The former Wimbledon semifinalist claimed the title with an impeccable performance, not dropping a set and conceding only 18 games in the four matches played.

Shapovalov achieved a significant rise in the rankings and is now world No. 29. He will arrive in Toronto as the 22nd seed following a mass withdrawal of players from the tournament.

"I’m back in Toronto and Yatzy is here too I signed the @ontariospca No Hot Pets pledge that I will never leave Yatzy unattended in a hot car. I’ll always bring him with me to keep him cool and safe! I hope you’ll join me and visit NoHotPets.ca to pledge to keep your pets safe too. On the court, I take risks. But leaving an animal you love in a car is a risk that’s not worth taking. "
