NBC's College Football Halftime Show Faces Growing Criticism

NBC’s college football halftime show is facing growing criticism on social media.

Notre Dame topped Wisconsin in NBC’s Sunday night game this weekend. The Fighting Irish got off to a good start, opening the season with an impressive victory. Notre Dame, ranked No. 4 in the preseason Top 25 polls, topped Wisconsin, 41-13, in a blowout win.

At halftime, NBC’s crew of John Fanta, Joshua Perry, Chris Simms and Nicole Auerbach discussed the game. But some college football fans were quite critical of the halftime show analysis.

“The NBC Sports executive who built this halftime show has never actually watched a college football game. Or been to one. I can’t believe this is a real desk on national TV,” Clay Travis wrote.

“You could change all the backdrops and they could be talking about anything. Women’s tennis, the stock market, the Lindsay Clancy case, why Rachel Maddow is underpaid and the greatest woman of the 21st century. It works for all of it.”
