Serena Williams made her lolong-anticipated return to the court last month at Wimbledon, but her tournament run didn't last long in singles play, as the 40-year-old was dropped in the opening round by Harmony Tan. It was reported last week that Williams will be taking part in the National Bank Open, which begins on Aug. 6 and takes place in Toronto, and she will also play at the Western & Southern Open, slated to start Aug. 14 in Cincinnati.
The 23-time Grand Slam victor will also get a chance to extend her Open-Era record to 24 later in August as well.
