This Saturday at the Six Kings Slam will feature both the third place match and the final, with four of the top five ranked players in the world duking it out and a lot of money on the line. As expected by most as soon as the draw was announced, the title will be contested by the top two players in the world, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who had already played the final at this event last year, with Sinner emerging victorious in a close three set battle. Alcaraz will be looking to get his revenge and take the six million home.
Head-to-head: Alcaraz 10-5 Sinner
While this match is not official and doesn’t have anywhere near the same importance as the finals the pair contested this year at Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open, with the amount of money that is on the line it is certain that both will do their absolute best to win and hopefully deliver another high quality match. Alcaraz has momentum on his side after his US Open victory and he also has the clear advantage in the head-to-head, leading 10-5 and having won seven of the past eight meetings, but it was actually Sinner who won at this event last year.
The conditions at this tournament seem to be more favorable to the Italian in general, and with no big prize at stake Sinner is likely to be the more motivated player of the two given his recent history in this match–as he will hold on to anything to gain some confidence back against his Spanish rival. All things considered, while this is pretty much a fifty-fifty match that could go either way, it is fair to give Sinner the ever so slight advantage going in.
Prediction: Sinner in 3
