Jessica Pegula is serving looks & wins as she lands in Wuhan

Jessica Pegula shared a series of photos from her days in China amidst the Asian Swing. The World No. 6 had a great campaign in Beijing, where she reached the semifinals, though she suffered a painful defeat against Linda Noskova after wasting match points. The Czech player ultimately won the third-set tie-break 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(6), ending Pegula's title hopes. This was the second consecutive tournament where Pegula fell just short of the final (she previously lost in the US Open semifinals to Sabalenka).

This week, Pegula returns to the courts as the 6th seed at the Wuhan Open, where she will debut this Wednesday against her compatriot Hailey Baptiste. Meanwhile, the American has enjoyed sightseeing in China while balancing her training, something she showcased on her social media. Pegula will also participate in the doubles competition alongside Ashlyn Krueger, facing the duo of Katerina Siniakova and Storm Sanders in the first round.

Rybakina drops rare China photo op

Elena Rybakina is another player enjoying her days in China, and despite not being one of the most active on social media, she posted a photo this Tuesday that garnered thousands of likes and comments. The former Wimbledon champion hopes to move past the surprising defeat she suffered in Beijing—where she was eliminated in the second round by Eva Lys—and return to winning ways as she fights for a spot in the WTA Finals.

The Kazakh player is currently 8th in the Race to the WTA Finals and holds the last qualifying spot, though she is closely followed by Italy's Jasmine Paolini. The results both players achieve in Wuhan—the last WTA 1000 of the season—will be key to determining who secures the spot in Riyadh. Rybakina will debut on Thursday against the winner of the match between McCartney Kessler and Jaqueline Cristian.

Dimitrov and Fils trade racquets for runway at Lacoste event

Two players who have been out of competition in recent weeks are Grigor Dimitrov and Arthur Fils, although both participated in the most recent Lacoste event, posing for several photos as ambassadors for the brand. Dimitrov ended his season early due to an injury-plagued year; his last appearance was at Wimbledon, where he retired in his fourth-round match against the eventual champion Jannik Sinner while holding a two-set lead (6-3, 7-5, 2-2, ret.).

On Fils' side, his last appearance was at the Canadian Open, more than two months ago, where he reached the third round and lost to Jiri Lehecka. Shortly after, he announced an injury that would sideline him for the remainder of the North American hardcourt swing, as well as the Asian Swing. Nevertheless, the World No. 30 is expected to make a final couple of appearances in Europe in a few weeks, as he is scheduled to play the Basel Indoors and the Paris Masters to close out his season.

Musetti is fired up after Shanghai win

Lorenzo Musetti shared a photo on social media celebrating his victory over his compatriot Luciano Darderi in the third round of the Shanghai Masters. The World No. 9 is one of only three Top-10 players remaining in Shanghai and emerges as a major favorite to contend for the title. The Italian won a tight battle against his compatriot 7-5, 7-6 and secured his spot in the Round of 16, where he will face Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime—the only player who can truly threaten his chances of reaching the ATP Finals.
