The ATP 250 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship Houston will take place from March 31 to April 6, 2025. It will be played on the clay courts of River Oaks Country Club, being the only tournament in the United States on this surface. Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, and Alejandro Tabilo emerge as the main favorites.

The tournament kicks off immediately after the Sunshine Double, making it a perfect setting for players to begin the clay swing before heading to Europe, with tournaments like the Madrid Open and Rome Open on the horizon.

This time, defending champion Ben Shelton will not be present. A year ago, he defeated Frances Tiafoe in an all-American final 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. The local players aim to retain the title once again, following recent editions where Shelton, Tiafoe, and Reilly Opelka claimed victory.

The tournament, also known as the Houston Open, will offer a record prize money of $680,140, with the champion receiving $103,455.

The draw is led by local stars, with four of the top five seeds: [1st] Tommy Paul (No. 13), [2nd] Frances Tiafoe (No. 17), [4th] Brandon Nakashima (No. 33), and [5th] Alex Michelsen (No. 34).

Joining them are Tabilo (No. 32), Jordan Thompson (No. 35), Tomás Martín Etcheverry (No. 44), and Kei Nishikori (No. 66). Players like Learner Tien, Aleksandar Kovacevic, and Christopher Eubanks will be among the Americans looking to cause an upset in the main draw.
