2025 has been an interesting year when it comes to the lineup of games that have already been released. Now, 2025 is gearing up for upcoming video game releases, and here are the biggest games coming out for the rest of 2025.

The Exit 8 (Switch 2) – August 29

Exit 8 became a phenomenon in 2023 when it first came out, with its simple and sleek design, to the creepy horror elements sprinkled in, instead of those in-your-face jump scares. As an anomaly game, you repeatedly walk through a station hallway, spotting anomalies along the way. If you spot the anomalies, you advance to the next stage. If you fail, you start all the way from the beginning (Unforgiving!). Exit 8 has become such a cultural phenomenon, a Nintendo Switch version is coming out August 29, with a movie adaptation in the works as well.

Silent Hill f (PS5, PC) – September 25

Personally, Silent Hill f has been a favorite I’ve been waiting for all year, since its announcement in October 2022. Set in 1960’s Japan, the story follows a girl named Hinako who becomes trapped in a hellish version of her hometown Ebisugaoka. Per Silent Hill fashion, you fight off grotesque creatures and must find the secrets of this hellish landscape to be able to escape. Silent Hill f is available for pre-order now on all platforms, with some pre-order bonuses you’ll receive once the game comes out!

Ghost of Yotei (PS5) – October 2

Ghost of Yotei is one of the most anticipated games of 2025. The success of its predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, had helped create hype for this standalone sequel which had garnered more attention during PlayStation’s State of Play. Fans of the series are excited to see how this story develops, and how it’ll measure up to the impeccable game play, and design of the first one.

Battlefield 6 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC) – October 10

Battlefield is famous for its hundred player lobbies, its high game immersion, and its emphasis in vehicle combat. Battlefield 6 is an exciting release for fans of the game, and anyone interested in first person shooter games (fps) that isn’t Call of Duty. Fans have already seen some gameplay through early access gamers who’ve shared content, however, widespread release is on October 10. Don’t forget to pre-order now!

Little Nightmares 3 (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch 2, Switch, PC) – October 10

Little Nightmares is a cultural phenomenon that popularized puzzle platform games, such as Inside and Oxenfree. Little Nightmares 3 has been a long time coming, as Little Nightmares 2 came out in 2021, almost four years ago! The ending of 2 shocked audiences and hyped the next game in the franchise. Only time will tell how this story will develop and whether this next story will connect with previous storylines.

Other Upcoming Games Coming Out:

  • Mafia: The Old Country (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC) – August 8
  • Madden NFL 26 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PC) – August 14
