7 Interesting Champion/Relic Combinations in Legend of Runeterra: Path of Champions

While Champions are the cornerstone of any Path of Champions deck, the relics that you can equip on them can be quite impactful. The variety of effects ranges from adding keywords to completely destroying the enemy’s side of the board. Tailoring relics to fit the Champions is just as important as leveling up your Champion and gaining Star Powers. Here are a few combinations that are particularly useful.

What are Relics in Path of Champions?

As you lay out your Champion Deck, you open up three little circles on the right side of your Champion Card. Those are where the relics are. By clicking on the circle, you can open up a list of the Relics you possess and equip them to your Champion.

There are currently three types of Relics: Common (Green), Rare (Blue), and Epic (Purple). You can get Green and Blue Relics from just playing the game normally, but you have to buy access to get to the Purple one.

Yuumi with Galeforce

Because Yuumi attaches to another card, the recall effect of Galeforce doesn’t activate. This means that you can give whoever you are attached to Scout with having to worry about them be sucked back into your deck.

Evelyn with Tempest Blade

Evelyn can level up a total of 6 times. This means that you could potentially unleash six team-wide stuns against the enemy team. Honestly, you are more likely to only get about 2 or 3, but it’s still a rather handy trick.

Master Yi with Dreadway Chase Gun

This will give you 0-cost spells that you can activate at any time, allowing you to activate his Star Power and create a 1-cost Twin Disciplines. It’s not world-shattering, but it is helpful.

Tahm Kench with Berserker’s Buckle

Since you damage yourself every time you eat an enemy, you might as well get Stats for it. It only takes a few turns for him to start getting out of hand.

Vi with Wriggle’s Lantern

You have to wait five turns to summon her (which you’d probably have to do anyway), but when you do, you’ll get a pretty good extra chunk of damage.

Teemo with Crownguard Inheritance

Attack with him once. If you have his Star Power at level 3, he’ll implant 15 mushrooms and level up. Immediately attack again. You’ll end up with 50 mushrooms right off the bat.

Aurelion Sol with The Deceiver’s Crest

Probably the most broken combo in the game. When you level up the equipped Champion, you get a free cast of their Champion Spell. Since you automatically level up Aurelion Sol when you summon him, that means you get a free cast of a 15-damage spell against all of your opponent’s cards. It’s ridiculous.

Gwen with Luden’s Tempest or Big Guns

This effect not only deals damage with her snips but also heals, since they are Life Steal. You will usually end up killing the enemy Nexus with just the snips alone. And you almost definitely heal your Nexus to full.
