Last year’s city-building sensation Against the Storm got a brand-new update on January 16, 2024, that added a bunch of fresh content to the game and improved several UI elements.
Developer Eremite Games stated that 90% of the 91 changes implemented in this update have been inspired by community feedback, continuing a tradition from the Early Access days of the game.
Among the biggest changes in this patch is a batch of 18 new orders that may show up during your runs, especially in the early game. “With the recent addition of the Queen's Hand Trial (QHT) mode, we've noticed that there's a slight imbalance in variety between the early orders and the later ones,” the developers explained the reasoning behind this addition.
A variety of new art has been introduced as well, such as unique portraits for all the traders that appear in settlements and a fresh icon for Forbidden Glades, which looks a lot spookier. You can also beautify your town with four new decorations.
