Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the huge new open-world action game from Ubisoft, taking places in James Cameron’s Avatar universe. No, not the Nickelodeon Avatar universe, sorry to say. If you’re eager to explore the world of Pandora as a lanky blue Na’vi, then this is the game for you. On PS5 (and we’re assuming Xbox Series X, at least) you get to choose between Favor Quality and Favor Performance modes, each of which has their own benefits and drawbacks. In this guide we’re breaking down which graphics mode is best for you to play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on console. Quality mode aims for 30fps, at higher resolutions and with nicer effects than you’ll see in Performance mode. The obvious downside here is that in Quality mode you’ll have slightly increased latency, making first-person gameplay a bit more awkward.
