Deathground is a squad-based survival shooter that originally popped up in 2020 through a Kickstarter campaign organized by developer Jaw Drop Games. With it set to release this year, fans have slowly been discovering more and more about the game, its gameplay, and its features. In a new trailer dropped on June 7 at Future Games Showcase, the focus was on the deadly, prehistoric creatures that roam the game’s universe. Dinosaurs, animals that are among some of the most intriguing extinct species in the modern world, are at the forefront of the game’s challenging multiplayer strategy.
Deathground is not a game for the faint of heart. This thriller capitalizes on the presentation of dinosaurs as terrifying murder machines by throwing some of the most aggressive prehistoric monsters depicted. Players will be tasked with surviving by working cooperatively as a squad. Armed with guns, shooting down these ferocious beasts will be your only way out. But be careful, because dinosaurs could appear around any corner. “A dinosaur horror game with 1-4 players that throws players into a desperate battle for survival” is the official description, and, yeah, that certainly fits.
The official Steam page for Deathground highlights some of the key features of the game as well.

Deathground appears to be a lot like a multiplayer co-op version of Jurassic Park, with intense graphics that should fully immerse players in survival mode. Developer Jaw Drop Games has not set an official release date yet, but an Early Access version is coming to Steam at some point in Q3. You can wishlist it now on the official Steam page. The team has also shared the plan to bring it to consoles, although which ones and when are yet to be determined.
