The Destiny 2 Praxic Blade is now in your hands. But you are not satisfied with the base version. There are plenty of customizable options, but you are unsure where to start. We have got you covered. From the Crystals to the Catalysts, there is no secret left to hide. Although a couple of the options are inside the Equilibrium Dungeon, we will be sure to find their secrets.

Crystals for the Praxic Blade alter its color. Some are easier to acquire than others. You will have to rely on RNG for the majority of them.

Blue and Green

Upon completion of the Fire and Ice mission, you will acquire a Blue or Green Praxic Blade. If you want to get the opposite Crystal, you must complete the Praxic Path questline. The quest will have you use the Praxic Blade and complete the Exotic Mission again.

Red

The Red Crystal comes from completing Invasion runs. There is a chance that you get the Red Crystal upon opening the chest at the end of the activity. There is no guaranteed drop, and we are currently unsure if wagering additional Deathmarks increases your chances.

Yellow

The new order system will allow you to gain the Yellow Crystal. You must acquire an Exotic Order titled Praxic Professional. There is a random chance that you get this order after completing a Legendary Order. The Exotic Order requires you to defeat combatants in a Pinnacle Ops Activity on Expert difficulty or higher without dying while using the Praxic Blade.

Orange, Magenta, and Indigo

All three colors are acquired through an RNG chance by completing Lawless Frontier Jobs. The final chest has a chance to drop the Crystal. It is unknown if the difficulty of the Lawless Frontier affects the drop chance. Orange drops from Mars, Magenta from Venus, and Indigo from Europa.

Cyan

Exotic Contracts have a chance to drop the Cyan Crystal upon their completion. You will need to wait to get an Exotic Contract first.

Taken

The Taken Crystal is only acquirable through the Equilibrium Dungeon, which is currently inaccessible until December 13th.

White, Purple, and Gradient

These are all Eververse-exclusive items and will cost 1000 Silver. They come with a Hilt as well.

Praxic Blade Forms

There are three forms available.

  • Balanced Form
    • Your Starter Form
  • Defensive Form
    • Unlocked through the Praxic Path Quest
  • Offensive Form
    • Unlocked in the Equilibrium Dungeon

Grip

Ranking up the Pikers Syndicate.

Forceful Blade

Ranking up the Tharsis Reformation Syndicate.

Blade Ammo

Syndicate Rewards

Invigorating Blade

Praxic Blade Cores

Players can unlock three cores, with one of them currently unavailable.

Impact Core

It is occasionally sold in the Tharsis Cantina. We have not seen it yet, so it is unclear how you acquire the core.

Refraction Core

A Dreg is lying around in a random part of the Tharsis Outpost. Pay him credits for a chance at the core. He gives random objects and potential armor that clog your Postmaster.

Praxic Blade Catalysts

There are four Catalysts players can earn, one of which refers to the high ground from Star Wars. The first three all come from quests in the Fire and Ice Mission. Energy Conduit will only become available with the release of the Equilibrium Dungeon.
