Kingmakers lets you time-travel to gun down knights

It looks like the developers mashed together elements from Mount & Blade, Dynasty Warrior, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, allowing players to dive into large-scale medieval battles armed with modern weaponry and vehicles such as armored SUVs, bikes, and attack helicopters.

Up to four players can take the field at the same time in the game’s online co-op mode. Players can switch between the third-person action mode and a real-time strategy perspective whenever they want, either steering their own character through the action or giving orders to their armies. There are even some building elements, as you can place fortifications on the field to help out your troops.

“Every soldier on the battlefield is controlled by a next-gen multi-threaded AI which controls their decision-making, pathfinding, and loyalty. This, combined with a unique procedural animation system, allows Kingmakers to offer an unprecedented level of character and combat fidelity,” the game’s Steam page says.

As mentioned above, there is no exact release date for Kingmakers outside of a general 2024 launch window, and the game will come to PC via Steam, where you can already wishlist it.
