2025 is nearly coming to an end. The Riot dev team has announced the changes coming in 2026 Season One of League of Legends. Atakhan came to the rift this year, and it will be his only one. All roles are getting quests, with updates to the existing ones. More items are coming to give more options to more champions in League of Legends.
For the longest time, minions have spawned at 1:05, with the first champions spawning at 1:30 in League of Legends. In 2026, all timers for the early game are moved 35 seconds earlier. It will result in less wait time and more precise invade timings.
Atakhan has been a contentious objective since his arrival in League of Legends. He has been the reason why teams lose games. His stay on the rift will only last a year. In 2026, he will no longer appear alongside the petals throughout the rift. Atakhan’s removal brings Baron Nashor‘s spawn timer back to 20 minutes.
Feats of Strength are another aspect removed in 2026. As a result, gold is returning for First Blood and First Tower kills. First Blood rewards 100 bonus gold, while First Tower grants 300 bonus gold.
All Epic Monsters are becoming more durable, and Dragon’s Vengeance will grant additional durability. Damage reductions are paired alongside the durability increases. Most Epic Monsters will grant less gold, with some giving more XP and others less. All Epic Monsters will scale with Champion level instead of game time.
Faelights are special locations that grant additional ward vision if a ward is in them. Depending on the position of the Faelights, their spawn time varies. Yellow trinkets will generate faster alongside more Scryer’s blooms. All these changes aim to enable split pushing.
Speaking of splitpushing, Riot is making numerous changes to enable split pushing and sieging. The list of changes is:
Nine items are coming to the rift in 2026. Below is the list of items with their temporary names.
