Supermassive Games headed the development of Little Nightmares 3, the newest installment of the popular series. In this game, you play as Low and Alone, two new protagonists who try to escape from a place called The Nowhere and avoid the monsters that inhabit this landscape. But how long will it take you to escape? Here’s a breakdown of how long it’ll take you to complete the game.

Little Nightmares 3 Main Story Completion Time

Little Nightmares 3 made its full release today, and if you got the game, you’re probably wondering how long the game is. In the first Little Nightmares game, the completion time came at around 3.5-4 hours. Pretty short. In Little Nightmares 2, the completion time was approximately 5-6 hours. This steady progression of the series’ length would mean that this new game would be even longer than the first two. And you’d be right.

The total average completion time of the main story of Little Nightmares 3 comes at about 7-8 hours, or just under 10 hours. It’s fitting, given all the different things the developers added to the game, such as co-op play and a combat system. Bandai Namco’s PR representative explained, “We’d expect a playthrough to come in at under 10 hours!”. Coming out as the longest in the series, the game is packed full of content, like gathering all the collectables scattered about in each chapter.

As a completionist, it’s sort of mandatory that I find these collectables and complete the trophy list for the game, so naturally, my game time will be a lot longer than the completion of the main story. Collecting every collectible and completing the trophy list, you are probably looking at about a 10-15 hour run. It really depends on your approach and how long it’ll take you to figure out puzzles, and whether or not you use guides to assist you in finding everything.

This is to date the longest Little Nightmares game in the series, but it’s not like it feels drawn out to the point of becoming boring. It’s pretty entertaining throughout, and I am still working through my own walkthrough.
