EA’s serving a double dose of gridiron hype this summer. EA Sports College Football 26 lands in July, and just over a month later, Madden NFL 26 officially launches on August 14, 2025, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
That’s right — Madden’s finally making a return to Nintendo for the first time since the Wii U days. Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One are officially getting benched, with this year’s game going fully current-gen.
This year’s Madden comes in Standard, Deluxe, and MVP Bundle flavors, and EA’s stacked each with pre-order bonuses depending on how early (and how much) you’re ready to drop.
Pre-order bonuses include:
Nothing wild, but enough to give you a soft start in Ultimate Team and Franchise.
Pre-order bonuses include everything in the Standard Edition, plus:
If you’re planning to hit MUT or Franchise Day 1, this is your head start pack.
MVP Bundle – The Big Boy Bundle
This includes all Deluxe bonuses plus:
This is the “I play every football mode and I want all the toys” edition.
With College Football 26 landing first, and Madden NFL 26 picking up right after, football fans are getting a full pipeline from high school to the Hall of Fame. The Switch return is a wild card, but for everyone else, August 14 (or August 11 if you buy in early) is where the new season begins. Let’s hope it actually plays like the rebuild we’ve been promised.
