NBA THE RUN Open Beta Is Free — Here's How to Download It

NBA THE RUN is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Before launch, however, players will get a chance to jump onto the blacktop early thanks to a newly announced open beta.

The NBA THE RUN team confirmed that an open beta will take place on Saturday, May 30.

• Time: 10 a.m. PT – 6 p.m. PT
• Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam (PC)
• Cross-play: Enabled
• Access: Free and open to everyone
• Codes Required: No

According to the announcement, players can simply download the beta and jump in during the testing window.

Downloading the beta is expected to be straightforward.

Players can:

• Search for 'NBA THE RUN Open Beta.'
• Download the beta client once it becomes available.
• Launch the game during the testing period.

No registration codes or invite requests are required.

What's Included In The Beta?

The beta will feature two game modes:

• Knockout Squads
• Knockout Solos

Players will also have access to a roster of NBA stars, including:

• Victor Wembanyama
• Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
• Anthony Edwards
• Cooper Flagg
• Kevin Durant
• Ja Morant

Street Legend Destiny 'DJ' Jackson will also be available.

The test will additionally showcase NBA THE RUN's style-move system, including crossovers, Shammgods, Slip 'N Slides, and other streetball-inspired moves designed to separate the game from traditional simulation basketball titles.

With the June 9 launch date approaching, the open beta will give players their first extended opportunity to see whether NBA THE RUN can bring street basketball back into the spotlight.
