New Look At Pragmata – Gamescom 2025

Pragmata is an action-adventure game that debuted its trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live this year, as part of a crazy lineup of upcoming games coming out for the rest of 2025 into the next year. Another game from Capcom, this one is revving up everybody’s engine, so let’s break down the trailer and details of the gameplay and story.

Hugh and Diana

Hugh and Diana are the main protagonists of the game. Hugh is investigating a lunar station overrun by robots. It seems that on our own, we barely do any damage to them; however, partnered with Diana, she can hack into them, messing with their defenses, giving us a shot at killing them. Not much is spoiled about their relationship and the nature of their teamwork, but Hugh is always seen carrying Diana on his back, protecting her from threats, while Diana provides support for Hugh. As always, Capcom demos give us everything and nothing at the same time, heightening players’ excitement for the game’s release.

Third-Person Shooter Gameplay

The game will be played as a strategic third-person shooter, with Hugh choosing between three different weapons: the grip gun, shockwave gun, and statis net. Since Diana is an android, her gameplay revolves mostly around puzzles and quick-time events, which ups the tension and adrenaline gamers feel when playing the game. The combat style for both Hugh and Diana are completely different from each other, which makes the game immersive and interesting in my opinion.

What the Demo Shows

I gotta say the demo was pretty epic. From figuring out Hugh and Diana’s different game styles to the artwork to the epic boss fights, you’re able to do, it’s no wonder gamers are so excited for this release. Yes, there were some issues like delays and years of non-updates for Pragmata; however, players finally get to see its stunning graphics and visuals, and I think this game was well worth the wait. Pragmata is a sci-fi action adventure game set to release sometime next year (hopefully in Q1), on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Players have waited years for this game, and it looks as if it will not disappoint.
