Paralives – How to clean Babies

When the baby gets dirty, the best way to get rid of the smell or dirt is by changing the diaper. To change a diaper, you will need to put the baby in the crib. Normally, when you put the baby in the crib, you will get all the following options:

• Pick up
• Bottle Feed
• Cuddle
• Rock Baby
• Breastfeed
• Burp Baby
• Play Baby Plane
• Talk to the baby
• Change Diaper (Only Available once the Baby smells)

If the baby starts to smell, you see a green hue coming from their little body. When you see this, it’s time to throw away the diaper for a new one.

• Pick up the baby and put them in the crib.
• Interact with the crib and choose the Change Diaper option to replace the old diaper with the new one.

Note: Just like Hunger, other paras can easily swap the diaper on the baby; you don’t need the mother to carry out the task.

Bug Alert:

Many players have reported that changing a baby’s diaper didn’t get rid of the smell, or they still get the notification about the baby needing a bath or a wash. 

• Solution #1: The first solution for this bug is to repeat the diaper-changing multiple times. I would advise changing the baby’s diaper two or three times to get rid of the bug.
• Solution #2: Click the crib and let a different adult para handle the diaper changing action.
• Solution #3: Move the crib to a different location to carry out the action. And carefully place the baby in the crib. Once the baby is fully placed, then you can change the diaper.
• Solution #4: Restart the game.

Always remember to put the crib in an area that can easily be accessed. This makes interacting with the crib that much quicker.

This issue automatically disappears with toddlers. Toddlers can receive potty training, and they can also be washed or bathed by an adult. You can pick up a toddler and take them to the bathtub and select the Wash button to bath them.

Other Ways to Wash or Fix the Hygiene of a Baby

When you are adding a new family member to your household, you are adding another layer of responsibilities. Besides changing a diaper, here we will look into other ways to maintain the hygiene of a baby. All the options are a bit unorthodox, as it goes against the intended gameplay loop.

Option #1: Cheat Command for Baby Hygiene Fix

Another way to handle the baby’s hygiene is by the good ol’ Cheat Command/.

• First, press Ctrl + F1 or Ctrl + Shift + C to open the Cheat Command screen.
• Here, type in RELIEFNEED HYGIENE to get rid of the baby’s smell.

Changing a diaper can take some time. Cheats provides a pretty straightforward way to fix the smelling issue.

Option #2: Bathe Babies Workshop Mod

I will highly recommend using the Steam Workshop mod of Bathe Babies. The mod reconfigures the toddler bathing system by adding the babies to the list. Which means you can now bathe the baby the same way you would bathe a toddler.

Tips to Take Care of a Baby in Paralives

Babies will need Hygiene, Hunger, Bathroom, Sleep, and lastly Affection. We have already talked about Hygiene, here are brief details on the others:

• Hunger: There are two ways to treat the hunger of a baby, one is by breastfeeding, and the other is by bottle feeding. If the mother is not present, you can have another para treat the hunger by bottle feeding the baby.
• Sleep: Babies are active some of the time, but most of the time they will hit the sack for some good needed sleep. Nobody wants to deal with a cranky baby; it’s better to put the baby back in the crib so it can get a good sleep.
• Bathroom: Babies will soil their diaper whenever nature calls. Changing the diaper is the only way to get rid of the smell of the baby.
• Affection: Play time is important for the baby. Spend as much time as possible with the baby so they will be in a happy mood.
