One game mechanic that Resident Evil Requiem brought back into this installment of the series is charms, little trinkets you’ll find scattered throughout the game, that you can attach or equip on your weapons for that extra boost to give you an edge over the infected and your enemies.
There are 7 total charms you can obtain throughout your playthrough, and 5 bonus charms you’ll receive once you finish the main storyline of the game. Here are the locations of all 7 charms and the power boost each will give you in Resident Evil Requiem.
You can find the Stakeout Charm in the Care Center 1F Pantry. Kill the Chef zombie, and he’ll drop the Pantry Key. The Stakeout Charm works just by holding it in your inventory. It increases your knife power and durability.
The Eye Spy Charm is located in the Care Center East Wing. This Resident Evil Requiem charm is a little difficult to get because you have to kill the Chunk boss to obtain it. When you kill him, he’ll drop the charm. This charm also works just by holding it in your inventory. It increases the likelihood that you’ll survive fatal damage.
This charm will also be found in Care Center 1F Pantry; however, Leon will find it. When you gain control of Leon and explore the Care Center, head to the Pantry and use your Hatchet to pry open the cabinet with the warped door. This charm can be equipped on any gun, and it increases firepower.
This charm is located in East Raccoon City when you open the fourth BSAA storage Container. This charm is specifically used for sniper rifles. It increases firepower but only if the scope isn’t equipped.
This charm will be found in the Raccoon City Police Department as one of the rewards you can obtain by doing Barry’s Scavenger Hunt. It will be in JoJo’s locker. This charm can be equipped on automatic guns. It increases firepower at the cost of more sway while aiming.
This is the second reward you can obtain while doing Barry’s scavenger Hunt. It’ll be inside Wesker’s briefcase in the Armory. This charm is for Requiem. It offers limitless bullet penetration, and it increases the firepower of the last bullet in the cylinder.
When you exit the Raccoon City Police Department, you’ll end up in the underground parking garage. The charm will be next to an abandoned van. This charm is for shotguns. It increases mid-range firepower, while sacrificing close-quarters potency.
Apart from the 7 charms you’ll find throughout your playthrough, when you complete the main storyline of Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll unlock a bunch of bonus content, including the Rugged Rookie Charm for Grace. This charm works just by holding it in your inventory, and it increases firepower.
This is also a bonus charm you’ll get when completing the main storyline for Resident Evil Requiem. The Trusted Companion Charm is a charm of Claire Redfield and can be equipped on handguns. It increases bullet penetration.
The Mr. Raccoon Charm is another bonus item; however, you only get it by purchasing either the Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Kit upgrade DLC. This charm increases your precision and critical hit rate for Grace.
This is another charm you can only get by purchasing either the Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Kit upgrade DLC. To find it, you’ll need to complete the Letters from 1998 side quest. This charm can be equipped on any weapon and increases the firepower of that weapon when Leon is near death.
The D.S.O. Charm is a weapon charm also included as part of the Deluxe Edition or the Deluxe Kit upgrade DLC. It can be attached to pistols, such as Grace’s M232 or Requiem, to customize your weapons with different skins. This is the only charm in the game that does not have a specific weapon bonus and is only for cosmetic use.
