Since its announcement back on December 9th, 2021, we haven’t received much information about the Star Wars Eclipse game. Thank goodness we have a leak offering a glimpse of what developer Quantic Dream has in store for us in Star Wars Eclipse. Since its announcement, we haven’t had any real updates on how things have been going. This leak is the first real news we have had, and from it, we can gather a lot of information about what they have been working on and what they have in store for us.

I swear, when it comes to leaks, a group of people is working on the game, watching us, just waiting, watching us outside a window, dangling information, teasing us like a carrot on a string. One of those carrot-hanger teasers seems to be an artist who has been working on the game. The leaked image shows several different species from the Star Wars universe in different outfits, hinting at terrain and perhaps perfection.

Another carrot teaser is CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere, who stated that development on Star Wars Eclipse is going on schedule and as planned. If that is correct, that could mean that some estimation on the game’s prediction of being released late 2027 could be true.

A Variety of Species Across the Galaxy

For those familiar with what Star Wars offers in their characters, some are easy to identify, while others are completely covered in armor as well as weathered garb in several variations. There are familiar species like the image of a Rodian who played a very popular role with Greedo in episode four, A New Hope. Greedo was the one who showed just how fast Han was with his blaster and created a massive argument on who shot first.

Next, we have different images of a Zenezian. The first time their species was seen was in The Force Awakens in Maz’s Castle. They were the orange, almost brownish-skinned musical group playing when Ray and Han went in. They have made several other background appearances in other lesser movies, shows, games, novels, and comics.

Then there are the Gungans. Almost everyone who is familiar with Star Wars knows of one of the most loved-to-hate Gungans, Jar Jar Binks. He and other Gungans were first seen in episode one, The Phantom Menace. Physically tall humanoids who are spindly but strong. They are known for their strong-billed face with protruding eyes on top of their heads.

Profusions and Outfit Hints

These are some of the species shown in the images, which show 13 different illustrations of these curious characters in different outfits. The characters show different angles and slightly different outfits. They are also shown with several different types of what appear to be musical instruments. Their variety, shown at different angles, offers a diversity of samples to choose from, and the type will be used in diverse situations.

There are a few images of what could be a bounty hunter, assassin, outland city defender from the outer rim, or perhaps a character who is specifically dressed and covered due to a planet with a harsh weather environment. In the Star Wars universe, it’s not uncommon to have several characters dressed for anonymity, seclusion, or the conditions of the world they are on.

Eclipse is Taking Shape

No matter how you look at it, Star Wars Eclipse is shaping up to be the hope of all fans everywhere. Coming from the Award-winning Independent Studios, Quantic Dream, and Lucasfilm Games meant that it was to be held to the highest expectations. With these images, it looks like they have been handling it and have it under control so far.

For those who didn’t know, Eclipse is an action-adventure game set in the High Republic era in Star Wars. It’s a multiple-character game set to offer each character bound in morality, personality, and motivation with opportunities to shape others’ stories in a galaxy worth of locations. We can only hope to get more news and leaks to see how Eclipse will take us all to a Galaxy Far, Far Away
