Set 16 for Teamfight Tactics will have the most champions ever in a set. Lore and Legends brings one hundred champions to the table. Sixty of them will be available throughout, while forty are unlockable. Each unlockable unit will have a unique path. Lore and Legends returns to Runeterra with all the base champion skins and regions as traits. The Dev Drop showed off what we can expect from the new set.

Teamfight Tactics Set 16 100 Champions

The forty unlockable champions bring unique changes to compositions. Once you unlock a champion, it will appear in your shop with the same odds as usual. The first shop after unlocking the champion guarantees a copy, no luck involved. Players can track which champions they have unlocked throughout the set with the Lorefinder. The unlockable champions are the Set Mechanic for Lore and Legends. Coming from the K.O. Coliseum, the Set Mechanic should be less complicated.

Kobuko returns for a third time in a Teamfight Tactics set, joined by Yuumi. Players can unlock Rift Herald and Baron to bolster their chances in fights. Atakhan will appear in the set as well, but as part of the summon trait for Noxus.

Some of the unlockable units include, but are not limited to:

  • Diana
  • Nasus
  • Bard
  • Gwen
  • Fizz
  • Renekton
  • Rfit Herald
  • Sylas (a seven-cost unit)

In the future, once we have all the information, we will post an article detailing all the ways to unlock a champion in Set 16.

Region Traits Return

All the regions of Runeterra return in Set 16. Players will have Bilgewater, which gives players Silver Serpents. Tahm Kench will cap out the trait, returning from Gizmos & Gadgets. Zaahen and Yunara will make their Teamfight Tactics debuts in the set. Both will feature in the Ionian trait. Zaahen will be a hero augment unit. Rift Herald and Baron Nashor feature in the Void trait. Ryze will benefit from traits on your board, but does not contribute to them. Another unique unit is Brock. He is a seven-cost, nexus fountain from Ixtal.

PBE Release

Set 16 will release on PBE next week, likely on the 18th or 19th of November. If you would like to try the set before the official release on December 3rd, download the PBE and head into the action. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Lore and Legends set.
