The first free game from the Epic Games Store is Amnesia: The Bunker. In this installment of the Amnesia series from Frictional Games, you play in first-person as Henri Clément, a French soldier trapped in a WWI bunker with a monster that’s reacting to everything you do. You’ll have to solve the mysteries of what happened to the soldiers and officers, and use the scant resources to survive and escape.

Note that this is a horror game and is rated Mature 17+. When you go to the game’s page, you’ll be prompted for your birthdate (how fun to scroll, scroll, scroll for my birth year). It does have controller support and is a single-player game. It is available for Windows.

Samorost 3

Did you claim Samorost 2 a few weeks ago when it was available for free? Well, the adorable space gnome is back in Samorost 3, and he’s on another adventure. This time, he’s traveling “across the cosmos” by using the powers provided by a magic flute. He’s searching for the origins of the cosmos! What a curious little fellow! You’ll visit nine alien worlds that are unique and filled with puzzles, fascinating creatures, and plenty more to find.

This Epic Games Store freebie is an adventure puzzle game developed by indie studio Amanita Design. It is rated Everyone 10+, making it a fun option to explore with your kiddos. And, Samorost 3 is available for Windows and through the Epic Games Store on mobile!

Also, it’s worth noting that Disney Dreamlight Valley – Enchanted Edition is available on the Epic Games Store at a 35% discount. It’s usually $79.99, but you can get it for $51.99 right now. I wouldn’t usually point out a discounted game, but since DDV just had their big Showcase with details for the upcoming expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, you may want to take a look. Wishblossom Ranch will be bringing more classic Disney characters like Snow White, Tigger, and Tinkerbell, as well as  HORSES! If you’re a Disney fan who hasn’t looked at this game, now is the time.

How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store

Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the  Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.

For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
