There have been some stellar games released so far in 2025, such as Tony Hawk‘s Pro-Skater 3 & 4 and Donkey Kong Bananza. But, the year isn’t over quite yet. There are still a few super hot games left coming out starting at the end of this month. Lego Party is the most exciting of these. If you have gaming goals, you will want to play at least one of these releases to hone your skills.
The new games this month have been nothing short of incredible. Sonic the Hedgehog is a household name at this point–just like Lego–and is another super exciting drop this month. It is coming out at the end of this month: released on September 25. It is a cart-racing game, much like Mario Kart. but, is it better? The game mechanics are more engaging and it has more innovative features, but it will unlikely totally dethrone Mario.
Lego Party! is due to be released on September 30. It is a 4-player party game. It features 60 mini-games that are designed to look like Lego sets. Some examples of the themes are pirates, space, and Ninjago. The goal is to collect golden bricks. There’s all kinds of goodies in this game, too: minifigure rewards await. This game can be played using cross-platform play, too, so you can play with basically anyone online. If you’ve ever played Mario Party, this game is basically the same thing except Lego-themed.
I brought up Mario earlier, and there is a brand new Mario game dropping on October 2. The audience rating of this game is very favorable. Mario is argued to be one of the greatest games ever created–and the story of Super Mario Galaxy is much the same as usual. Mario is attempting to rescue Princess Peach–but also this time the whole of the galaxy–from the evil Bowser. The graphics of this game are highly anticipated, too; there are vivid colors featured and gorgeous lighting effects, although some fans think the game looks “unfinished” on Switch. If you’re a Mario fan, you won’t want to miss this new installment.
These are what I consider to be the biggest drops left this year, although there are certainly a number of other worthy games left coming out. But, I wanted to feature the biggest names in gaming so you can get a heads-up on when to watch for these titans. Happy Gaming!More must-reads:
