Zombie Army VR has Horde Mode now, and it’s about damn time. Zombie Army is the titular game where, as the name suggests, you fight an army of zombies. It’s tantalizing fun, and VR has brought a whole new level of immersion to the game. And they’ve also introduced Horde Mode, which will definitely up the ante and intensity. Here’s all you need to know.
Horde Mode is a new mode of the game that came with the new update available for the VR version of Zombie Army. With this new update, players can play solo or in a team, and fight through waves of the undead, increasing the difficulty with each level on four new available maps: Apocalyptic Raid, Sector Z, Last Stop, and Hallowed Ground. In VR, this game is a lot more intense, getting up close and personal with the zombies, and offering immersive gameplay.
Horde Mode will be played in first person and on the VR, which seems a bit daring, literally coming face to face with an undead army of soldiers, and it doesn’t seem to let up. It’s gory and fast-paced, and offers pretty cool weapon modifications and zombie kill sequences. There’s so much to unpack in this game, especially with Horde Mode in this update.
A highlight of this new update was the trailer showing the new mode and maps that are available. It’s pretty freaking awesome, if the trailer is any indication of the game’s awesome gameplay. The update also includes the new Black Ice and Toxic Hazard weapon skins to the game, along with legendary Deadhunters Marie and Boris.
I’ve played a little bit of Zombie Army, and it’s a pretty solid zombie shooter game; however, I’ve never tried it on VR. Something tells me it’s more fun that way, too. I’ll have to look into the new update and try Horde Mode for myself sometime to give it a proper review, but I hope gamers are having fun with all the excitement right now.
