Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has made WNBA history. Wilson, 28, scored 35 points to power the Aces to a 96-81 win over the Los Angeles Sparks at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Paradise, Nevada, on Friday night. However, there’s more to know as Wilson achieved additional feats. Here’s the latest on Wilson’s feats.

A’ja Wilson Makes WNBA History

Wilson finished Friday night’s game with 35 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks, along with 66.7% field goal shooting, 33.3% three-point shooting, and 100% free throw shooting. Wilson’s performance not only improved her personal record, but also put her in good company. She’s just two 25+ point double-doubles away from passing Tina Charles for the most in WNBA history.

Wilson has been playing as a center in the WNBA since 2018. The Aces selected her with the first overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. She played college basketball at South Carolina from 2014 to 2018. She’s a native of Columbia, South Carolina.

Wilson Shines in WNBA Game

A’ja Wilson’s 35-point performance in Friday night’s win attracted plenty of people, even in the NBA world. After the game, Wilson’s boyfriend, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, took to social media to shout out his girlfriend. Adebayo, 27, wrote on Threads, “Ok big guard.”

Adebayo has been playing as a center and power forward for the Heat since 2017. The Heat selected him with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. He played college basketball at Kentucky from 2016 to 2017.

Final Thoughts

A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces are still favorites to win the WNBA’s Western Conference in 2025. However, it’s too early to tell, as the Minnesota Lynx can keep the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference. We’ll see what happens in the coming months.

The Aces will take on the Seattle Storm in the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Pacific. The game will be broadcast on Vegas 34, KOMO 4, and CW Seattle.
