Aliyah Boston watched on as Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever moved to 1-0 in the 2026 WNBA preseason after taking down Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty 109-91 on Saturday. Now, the Fever will turn their attention to their second and final preseason game of the year, hosting Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Thursday.

Against the Liberty, some of Indiana's key players made their return to the court after suffering season-ending injuries in 2025. This includes Clark (groin/ankle), who tallied seven points, three rebounds and four assists, along with Sophie Cunningham (MCL tear), who notched 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, two rebounds and two steals. The Fever's first-round pick, Raven Johnson, even had a solid debut off the bench, recording six points, three rebounds and a team-high eight assists.

The Fever were able to come away with a preseason win over one of the favorites to win the WNBA Finals despite missing several players due to injury. This included Boston, who suffered a lower leg injury in February while playing in the Unrivaled league, though her absence was considered precautionary by Indiana. Other players who missed the preseason opener included Lexie Hull (hamstring), Ty Harris (knee) and Damiris Dantas (not with team).

And on Monday, speaking during a team practice session, Boston was asked about her health, noting that she is "feeling great."

"Yeah, feeling great," Boston said. "I mean, we're just doing what we gotta do to get back in full swing, but yeah, feeling great."

Boston also confirmed that if Saturday’s matchup against the Liberty had been a regular-season game, she would have suited up and played.

The Fever will host the Wings in the preseason finale on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. ET, then they will take on Dallas once again in the regular-season opener on May 9.
