The Chicago Sky have only won two games so far this 2025 WNBA season, both against the struggling Dallas Wings. However, they are not expected to add to their winning tally anytime soon.

Angel Reese and company are set to face the New York Liberty on Tuesday, but it's worth noting that the Breanna Stewart- and Sabrina Ionescu-led squad has yet to lose this campaign.

The Big Apple franchise has won eight straight games with an average winning margin of 19 points. Their closest game was a two-point win against the Indiana Fever, while their biggest margin of victory was a 48-point blowout of the Connecticut Sun.

Naturally, the Sky are considered heavy underdogs when they meet the Liberty at Barclays Center. In fact, ESPN gave Chicago a less than a 15 percent chance to win.

According to the ESPN Matchup Predictor, the Sky only have a 12.1 percent chance to beat the Liberty. New York, for its part, has an overwhelming 87.9 percent chance to emerge victorious.

The Sky lost their last outing against the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever, marking their fifth defeat of the season. In the game, no one scored in double digits for Chicago, as Indiana blew the team out with a score of 79-52.

Making things worse for the Sky, they lost Courtney Vandersloot to a season-ending injury. The 36-year-old playmaker sustained a knee injury early in the game against the Fever, and she was eventually diagnosed with a torn ACL.

It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments head coach Tyler Marsh will make to help the Sky compete against the Liberty. Sure enough, however, few expect them to put up a good fight amid their struggles.
