Angel Reese Makes WNBA History in Chicago Sky’s First Win

The Chicago Sky secured their first win of the 2025 WNBA season with a 97-92 victory over the Dallas Wings at Wintrust Arena. The game was a tightly contested battle, with both teams exchanging leads throughout. In the closing minutes, the Sky, led by Kamilla Cardoso's 23-point, eight-rebound performance, executed crucial plays on both ends of the court to seal the win, showcasing their resilience and determination.

Angel Reese played a pivotal role in the victory. After a quiet first half, where she recorded just one point and six rebounds, Reese finished the game with six points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Her most significant contribution came in the final moments, delivering a clutch assist to Cardoso, who converted the go-ahead basket, putting the Sky ahead.

In addition to the team's triumph, Reese achieved a personal milestone by becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 offensive rebounds, achieving this feat in 39 games.

With an overall rebounding average of 13.0 per game this season, Reese is on pace to reach 1,000 career rebounds by August, a testament to her relentless effort and positioning.

The Sky will look to make it two wins in a row as they hit the road to face the Wings again on Saturday night.
