Angel Reese Names Her ‘Favorite Reporter’ Without Hesitation

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese didn’t hesitate to tell who her favorite sports reporter is.

On her Instagram Story, Reese reposted an announcement from her podcast “Unapologetically Angel” revealing that Taylor Rooks would be the next guest.

“MY FAVORITE REPORTER. MY GIRLLLL,” the 23-year-old WNBA star wrote in all caps, alongside the post.

This wasn’t the first time Reese showed love to Rooks. Earlier this year, when Rooks surprised fans with a wedding announcement on Instagram, Reese was among the first to comment.

“Congrats beautiful ,” she wrote under Rooks’ post, joining a long list of celebrities and athletes celebrating the beloved reporter.

Meanwhile, when Reese debuted a fresh bob hairstyle in March, Rooks was one of the first to comment, calling the young WNBA star “stunning omg.”

Rooks also previously interviewed Reese during the WNBA season and the two appeared together in photos shared on social media throughout 2024 and 2025.

In February, Reese posted a photo with Rooks following a postgame interview, writing, “MY GIRLLLLLL,” to which Rooks replied, “ALWAYS! You know it.”

Rooks, known for her powerful interviews and work with Amazon Prime Video’s NFL broadcasts, has been a respected figure in sports journalism for years. Before joining Amazon, she worked with TNT Sports, Bleacher Report and the Big Ten Network.

Reese’s compliment for Rooks comes during an important chapter in her young career. Though the Chicago Sky missed the playoffs this season, Reese continued to dominate the boards, leading the league with 12.6 rebounds per game, while averaging 14.7 points and 3.7 assists.

Beyond basketball, Reese’s influence continues to grow. She recently launched her first signature sneaker, the Reebok Angel Reese 1, which sold out within hours. The sneaker’s success proved her growing power as both an athlete and a brand.

She also released a Juicy Couture collection, sharing that she designed it for “everyone to wear but my tall girlies in particular.” The collaboration added to her growing list of partnerships and business projects, showing that Reese is building an empire well beyond the court.

Rooks’ upcoming appearance on "Unapologetically Angel" marks another step in her growing media presence.
