Angel Reese posts message amid strong run of play

It was a good weekend for Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream as the team beat the Minnesota Lynx heading into the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Break.

Reese set a WNBA record on Sunday for the most double-doubles in a season.

The fun didn't stop there. Reese was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week. It marked her second consecutive week getting the honor.

Reese is soaking up the praise, and she's also sending a strong message about where she is today in the WNBA and her overall career.

Reese took to social media on Tuesday to tell the world that she's proud of herself for hustling and becoming the player she is today. She's breaking records and winning awards left and right.

"It's finally my time, look what grindin did for me," Reese stated in an Instagram post, which also packed in photos of herself playing basketball and enjoying life off the court. "I wasn't doing no cryin' I was just telling my story. I play the hand I was dealt, I'm quick to adapt, I play the game how it go. I'M A HUSTLER BABY, look what grindin did for me."

It's a strong message and one she'll take when she represents the United States at the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.
