The Chicago Sky suffered their fourth consecutive defeat on Tuesday night, falling 94-89 to the Phoenix Mercury despite leading after three quarters. The Sky entered the final period with a 71-67 advantage but were outscored 27-18 in the fourth, unable to contain Phoenix's late surge. Satou Sabally led the Mercury with 20 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, propelling her team to victory.

Despite the loss, the Sky showcased a balanced offensive effort, with five players scoring in double figures. Angel Reese delivered a standout performance, recording 13 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks in the loss.

Reese was particularly effective in the first quarter, scoring seven points on 1-of-2 shooting and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line, along with two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in just under seven minutes. Kamilla Cardoso contributed 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, while Ariel Atkins led the team with 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Following the game, Reese remained optimistic about the team's direction, sending a clear message:

"We believe in each other, which is the most important thing," she stated.

Despite the loss, Reese achieved a significant milestone during the game. She became the fastest player in WNBA history to accumulate at least 500 points and 500 rebounds, accomplishing the feat in just 38 games. This surpasses the previous record held by Tina Charles, who reached the milestone in 44 games.

The Sky will look to halt their losing streak as they prepare to face Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings in their next matchup.
