Angel Reese's First Post After Chicago Sky's Huge Trade

The Sky only had to give up their No. 3 pick in the upcoming 2025 WNBA draft. Reese was in attendance for November's draft lottery, where she reacted to it by asking the Dallas Wings' representative, "Do you still wanna switch or?" This was a subtle nod to Chicago's 2023 trade with the Wings for Marina Mabrey, sending the right to swap 2025 draft picks in return.

The Mystics will also receive a 2027 first-round pick swap and Chicago's 2027 second-round pick, per Philippou.

But Reese certainly seems more excited about the Atkins trade than she was on lottery night, reacting with a post using the two emojis "." She also reposted Philippou's initial post.

Atkins provides Reese and the Sky with another solid scoring option in the backcourt, especially with guard Chennedy Carter on her way out. In seven seasons with the Mystics, the former Texas star averaged 13.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists. She also helped give Washington its first and only WNBA championship in 2019 while making five All-Defensive teams.

Along with Atkins, Chicago has acquired a few different guards over the offseason, including Kia Nurse from the Los Angeles Sparks and Rebecca Allen from the Connecticut Sun. Along with new head coach Tyler Marsh, the Sky have a lot of changes coming in 2025.
