After transferring to the TCU Horned Frogs for the 2024-25 campaign, Hailey Van Lith enjoyed an incredible season before she presumably attempts to make the jump to the WNBA. But first, she earned quite an honor from the Big 12 on Tuesday that saw her add another big accolade to her name.

After spending one season with the LSU Tigers, Van Lith transferred to TCU for her final year of collegiate eligibility. She has starred with her new squad, averaging 17.6 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting 45.4% from the floor.

In the wake of beating the Baylor Bears in the Big 12 Championship Game on Sunday, Van Lith reflected on her incredible season with the Horned Frogs.

“It feels awesome, not a lot of people understand how hard it is to win a regular season championship,” Van Lith said, per Steven Johnson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “That means you have to dominate consistently over the course of a league season. That just says a lot about us and the level we’ve been able to play at."

With a 29-3 record, TCU seems poised to make some noise in the upcoming women's March Madness tournament. But first, the team and their players needed to get recognized for their strong regular season play, chief among them being Van Lith, who was announced as the Big 12 Player of the Year on Tuesday.

As the No. 8 ranked team in the country, the Horned Frogs appear set to earn a rather high seed to open March Madness, potentially setting them up to go on a deep run in the tournament. But before that happens, they will partake in the Big 12 tournament, with their first game scheduled for Friday, March 7.
