Highlights
The NWSL continues to grow, and with the Boston Legacy FC set to join the league next year, the club made one of the biggest announcements of its history so far. The club has an important investor who plays in the NFL.
NFL quarterback star Caleb Williams is announced as a club investor of Boston Legacy FC. The Chicago Bears quarterback was announced on Boston Legacy FC's social media pages.
It has become more common to see American celebrities or athletes investing in soccer over the past few years, and Caleb Williams is the latest to do it.
Boston Legacy FC described Williams' involvement as a sign of the powerful momentum for women's soccer in the U.S.
Jennifer Epstein, Controlling Owner of Boston Legacy FC, stated, "Caleb’s investment in Boston Legacy Football Club highlights the powerful momentum of women’s professional soccer and what it means to have professional athletes investing in our future.
She continued and said, "It symbolizes a new era of cross-league support and recognition. With best-in-class athletes, a rapidly growing fan base, and undeniable energy around the NWSL, we are proud to welcome Caleb as a partner as we prepare for the 2026 inaugural season."

Caleb Williams isn't the only athlete that part of the club, as WNBA star Aliyah Boston was welcomed as a member of the Boston Legacy FC investor group. The announcement of Aliyah Boston was made in July.
