Brittney Griner has established herself as one of the greatest players in WNBA history over her 12 seasons in the league. The 6-foot-9 center from Baylor was selected No. 1 overall in the 2013 WNBA Draft and spent her first 11 seasons with the Phoenix Mercury. After helping Phoenix win its first championship and earning 10 All-Star selections, she joined the Atlanta Dream in 2025, helping lead them to a playoff berth.

But following a first-round exit against the Indiana Fever in the 2025 WNBA Playoffs, Griner became an unrestricted free agent, deciding what's next for her family. Before she decides her next WNBA move, Griner will make her way to Miami for Unrivaled season two, where she will play for Vinyl BC.

But just hours after the Unrivaled team reveal, Griner shared some off-court news, announcing her upcoming appearance on the BET series "106 & Sports," co-hosted by former NFL star Cam Newton and Ashley Nicole Moss. The new show "counts down the top 10 sports and culture moments of the week." It has also previously featured athletes such as former NBA player LiAngelo Ball and Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad Johnson.

"What's up, guys, it's Brittney Griner," she said. "Catch me tonight on '106 and Sports,' 10/9 central on BET."

Griner also shared the news on her Instagram Story, thanking BET for letting her join the show: "Thanks for having me "

"You heard it from BG herself," BEt wrote on X. "Brittney Griner's pulling up to #106AndSports, and it’s one you don’t wanna miss. Catch the episode tonight at 10/9c on BET. Stream next day on BET+"

After Griner appears on the show in front of a live audience, she’ll turn her focus to Miami as Unrivaled’s second season begins in early January. She’ll be joined by a familiar face, sharing a team with her Dream teammate Rhyne Howard.
