Connecticut Sun center Brittney Griner added another glowing accolade to her Hall of Fame-worthy resume Friday.
The 35-year-old moved into 12th place on the all-time WNBA field goals made list. She accomplished the feat in the Sun’s 85-75 loss to the Indiana Fever on Saturday.
Griner surpassed legendary Tamika Catchings after recording her 2,390th career field goal. Next up is Cappie Pondexter in 11th place, just 56 field goals ahead at 2,446.
The Sun commemorated the achievement on social media.
"12th and still climbing Brittney Griner now ranks 12th all-time in field goals made, moving ahead of Tamika Catchings," the congratulatory post read.
Griner is a 10-time All-Star, two-time Defensive Player of the Year and WNBA champion. Few players in league history can match that resume.
Against the Fever, Griner finished with 10 points on 5-11 shooting from the field at Mohegan Sun Arena. She also registered four assists, two rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes.
In her 13th WNBA season, the 10-time All-Star still has plenty left to offer. After a quiet lone year with the Atlanta Dream in 2025, Griner has looked revitalized in Connecticut.
Griner is averaging 12.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 blocks in 25.4 minutes across seven appearances.
She has been a rare bright spot for a struggling Sun team sitting at 2-10. At 35 and in her 13th season, Griner is still finding ways to rewrite the record books.
Connecticut's next game is on Wednesday against the 5-7 Washington Mystics.
