Caitlin Clark missed five games over a three-week span due to a quad strain, but didn't miss a beat upon her return to the court on Saturday, June 14.

She came back against the undefeated New York Liberty (9-0) after suffering the injury against the defending WNBA champions back on May 24.

Clark's return was defined by seven made 3-pointers midway into the third quarter, which tied her career high for an entire game. By the end of the third period, Clark had amassed 32 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and two blocked shots.

She also served as the primary fuel behind 25-3 Fever run that had Indiana (4-5) up by 16 points over the Liberty at one point in the second half. The third quarter ended with Indiana up by a score of 80-71, after New York finished the stanza on a 9-2 run of its own.

"I feel pretty good," Clark said during an interview with the ABC broadcast team between the third and fourth quarters. "I think we can play better defense, though."

Clark continued to emphasize defense throughout the brief interview, a message she likely brought back with her to the huddle during the subsequent commercial break.

The Fever went 2-3 without Clark in the lineup after a 2-2 start to the season. A victory on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will move Indiana to .500 on the year.

Clark needs just one made 3-point shot in the fourth quarter to set her all-time WNBA mark for 3-point makes in a single game.
