When tensions rose during the Indiana Fever's 85-79 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Tueday night, Caitlin Clark could not hide her emotions around former teammate DeWanna Bonner.
During a timeout in the fourth quarter, Clark got into it with Bonner, who started the season in Indiana before being waived at the end of June and signed by Phoenix.
Clark was ruled out for her 19th straight game with a right groin injury, but she was active on the Indiana bench and did not take kindly to seeing Bonner jaw at their sideline.
The 23-year-old waved away the WNBA's third-leading scorer of all time in a dramatic moment at PHX Arena captured by the cameras on the NBA TV broadcast.

Bonner was signed to be a veteran leader for Stephanie White's Fever squad, but requested to leave after playing just nine games, stating "the fit did not work out."
She now plays with her wife, Alyssa Thomas, on the Mercury.
Since the controversial move, Bonner has seen an uptick in her production from 7.1 points per game in Indiana to 11.2 with Phoenix.
"I wouldn't do anything differently," Bonner said after returning to Phoenix. "I think my journey is my journey, and I'm going to accept that. It carried me to where I am now in Phoenix, and it happened that way for a reason."
Bonner had the last laugh, finishing the game with 19 points to help drop her former team to 21-20 on the season. The Fever now sit eighth in the WNBA standings, hanging onto the final playoff position one game ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks with three regular season games remaining.
Thomas led the Mercury with 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell had a game-high 29 points.
