Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston have forged a strong bond on and off the court. The Indiana Fever stars played key roles in helping the team finish with a 28-16 regular-season record to clinch the No. 6 seed. The franchise announced an update about the four-time All-Star forward’s status on Thursday, which the superstar guard reacted to.

Indiana is already in the offseason as it was eliminated in the first round by the Las Vegas Aces. They forced a Game 3 on Oct. 1 but failed to dethrone the defending champions, losing 94-83 at Michelob ULTRA Arena. Clark finished with 18 points on 6-of-18 shooting, along with four assists and three three-pointers. Boston, on the other hand, produced 19 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

Such surgeries generally takes three to six weeks to recover from. Rehabilitation usually lasts three to six months, but Boston will likely be ready for the start of the 2027 WNBA season. She and Clark will continue to be relied upon to lead the franchise in years to come.

The former South Carolina Gamecocks star enjoyed another impressive season. She averaged 16.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in 40 regular-season games. She earned her fourth All-Star nod and was part of Team USA’s roster at the FIBA World Cup in Berlin.

Meanwhile, Clark broke several league records this year, including the first season with 800-plus points and 300-plus assists. She notched her third straight All-Star selection and also represented the U.S. at the World Cup. The national team secured its fifth consecutive world championship.
