It's official: Lexie Hull is returning to the Indiana Fever.
Hull entered the offseason as a restricted free agent, which meant that the Fever had the right to match any offer sheet she would receive in free agency. On Saturday, when teams could officially sign players, it didn't take long for Indiana to lock her into a multi-year deal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although Alexa Philippou of ESPN reported that Hull considered "several options" before making her decision.
The Fever confirmed the signing in several posts, including one that read, "Indy is home. We have re-signed @lexiehulll."
On TikTok, Hull also announced her return by posting a video with her Fever teammate Caitlin Clark. She and Clark used an audio clip that said, "Tell a friend to tell a friend, she's back!"
Clark commented on the TikTok video they made and expressed her excitement for Hull's return.
"YIPEEE SKIPEEEEEE," Clark wrote.
Hull has been a key cog for the Fever ever since the team selected her sixth overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft. In four seasons with the team, she has recorded career averages of 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists. She has been a solid backup guard for Indiana, as well as a reliable shooter with a 33.7% shooting clip from deep.
The 26-year-old guard has also developed a close friendship with Clark off the court, which has translated to good on-court chemistry. That being said, it's not surprising to see the Fever All-Star thrilled about Hull's return.
