Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is already looking ahead to her third straight year as a WNBA All-Star.

Last season, Clark was forced to withdraw from the All-Star Game due to injury. The 6-foot guard has been dealing with a back issue of late, but she hopes to be healthy for the highly anticipated exhibition game on July 25.

Clark will lead a trio of Fever players heading to Chicago’s United Center for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. Joining the former Iowa Hawkeyes standout are Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, who are both All-Stars for the fourth consecutive year.

Caitlin Clark not looking forward to facing Indiana Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell

The WNBA officially announced the All-Star Game rosters on Wednesday after head coaches Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon picked their players.

Clark commented on the big news ahead of Indiana’s home game against the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night. The 24-year-old expressed delight about being on the same side as Boston on Team Spoon. However, she admitted that she’s not looking forward to battling Mitchell, who is on Team Coop.

“I knew that probably wasn’t going to happen with three of us,” Clark said. “But just super excited, obviously. I love that I got AB with me.

“I never want to have to guard Kelsey, so not too excited about that; I guess I’ll probably just let her go by me, even if I was trying or not trying. But no, I think it’ll be fun.

“It’ll be kind of weird seeing Kelsey on the other side, though.”

Whether she likes it or not, Clark will likely be matched up against Mitchell at one point in the All-Star Game. As she said, she plans not to exert too much effort on defense against her teammate. However, things could change dramatically once the competitive juices start to flow — especially if the All-Star Game ends up being a close match.
