Caitlin Clark continues to build her legacy in the WNBA after being selected No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 draft and earning WNBA Rookie of the Year honors in her first season. In Indiana, Clark quickly became a franchise centerpiece. She led the team in scoring and assists as a rookie and energized a new generation of women’s basketball fans.
Her professional success is the continuation of a historic college career with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Clark became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I men’s or women’s history with 3,951 points, earned two National Player of the Year awards and established herself as one of the most decorated players in the sport.
At Iowa, Clark played two seasons alongside Kylie Feuerbach, a steady defender on the court. The pair contributed to strong team performances in the Big Ten and deep NCAA Tournament appearances, with Clark’s scoring prowess and Feuerbach’s defensive intensity complementing one another.
On Tuesday, Iowa announced that Feuerbach had been named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team, an honor recognizing her impact on that end of the floor this season.
After the news broke, Clark took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate her former teammate:
“Congrats kyles… roomie was doing the defense part for both of us for years,” she captioned her post.

Feuerbach played 26 games for the Hawkeyes this season and was a defensive catalyst for the team. She finished the year with 29 steals while averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and a career-high 2.9 assists per game.
Feuerbach’s recognition comes during her final year of collegiate eligibility, as she elected to return to Iowa after a medical redshirt and a COVID extra year.
While she has not publicly announced plans for the WNBA, her defensive accolades and leadership traits have drawn attention from scouts ahead of her potential professional eligibility.
