Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark got a nod from undefeated boxer Leanna Cruz in her list of the greatest female athletes.

In an interview , undefeated American female boxer Leannna Cruz was asked for her Mount Rushmore of female athletes, and she included Fever star Caitlin Clark on her list.

“Skylar Diggins. Claressa Shields. Caitlin Clark. Simone Biles.”

Skylar Diggins and Caitlin Clark are both from the WNBA, while Claressa Shields is also a boxer, and Simone Biles is considered the most decorated gymnast in history.

A Mount Rushmore of something is a way of naming the top four most important, influential, or legendary figures in a particular category. It comes from Mount Rushmore in the U.S., which features the carved faces of four iconic American presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

Leanna Cruz is an American professional boxer competing in the super flyweight division. She has an undefeated record and is ranked among the top fighters in her weight class. Known by her nickname “Bumblebee,” Cruz has gained recognition for her skill and charisma in the ring.

Cruz has even made ring walks dressed as characters like Spider-Man, Sub-Zero, The Joker, and The Green Goblin, adding a unique flair to her persona.

Analyst Says “Not Time to Panic,” Despite Caitlin Clark Out of Games

ESPN analyst and WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo has reassured Indiana Fever fans that they shouldn’t be overly concerned about the team’s struggles in Caitlin Clark’s absence.

“I’m sure Fever fans were expecting a very different start, but they should not be worried, I don’t think, at all,” Lobo said during the Friday SportsCenter segment with Elle Duncan.

While the Fever have faced setbacks, including injuries to key players Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson, Lobo emphasized that the team is built around Clark’s strengths, and their full potential will be realized once she returns. She pointed out that even with Clark on the court, two of their losses were by a combined three points, showing that the team is competitive and capable of bouncing back.

Lobo acknowledged that the Fever are still adjusting to a new system under coach Stephanie White and integrating new players, which naturally comes with challenges.

She stressed that the team’s ceiling is reached by maximizing the abilities of Caitlin Clark, and without her, their performance will look different. However, she remained optimistic that once the roster is fully healthy, the Fever will regain their footing and make a strong push in the WNBA season.
