The Indiana Fever picked up their 22nd win this season after beating the Dallas Wings at home on Friday.

Caitlin Clark led the way for the home team with 29 points and 10 assists. She also had three rebounds and one steal.

However, the Fever star was forced to exit the game before halftime. She seemed to tweak her ankle after stepping on Wings guard Alysha Clark’s foot.

Head coach Stephanie White pulled Clark from the game and sent in Tyasha Harris to replace the star guard.

The seven-year veteran stepped up for Indiana this game. She was perfect from the field, shooting 5-of-5, all from the three-point range, to finish with 15 points.

Tyasha Harris speaks out after big game for the Indiana Fever

Harris has played sparingly for Indiana this season. She has made 28 appearances for the Fever, averaging only 14.1 minutes per game. This year, Harris is averaging 4.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

Despite that, she has stayed ready to contribute whatever the squad needs from her. The 5-foot-10 guard spoke about her mentality during the postgame conference.

“It’s just a testament to my work,” Harris said. “Our work in practice (and) outside of practice.”

“That’s what being a pro (is), honestly,” she added.

Harris also mentioned what she does to stay ready for any circumstances.

“If you don’t play as much in one game, you got to get into conditioning, lifting and extra work,” Harris said. “So, just in case a game comes (where) I have to play the full fourth quarter, then I’ll be ready and not tired and not gassed.”

Clark then jokingly said that Harris didn’t look tired, and the veteran said that she’s good at hiding it.

The Fever will now embark on their five-game road trip. They will be facing the Atlanta Dream, Toronto Tempo, the Wings, the New York Liberty and the Chicago Sky.
